Pregnancy and drug addiction. Need an educated answer. Please help.?

I am 17 years old and approximately 10 weeks pregnant. I told my mom, but I have not been to the doctor yet. For about 3 years I have been addicted to roxy 30s. When I found out I was pregnant, the baby's health became a huge concern because of this. My mom is planning to schedule my appointment at Generations obgyn, but she does not know about my drug use. I have done plenty of research and have found that doctors will typically tell you to continue doing the drug until they can prescribe you something to get you off of it because the withdrawal can cause miscarriage. This doesn't seem quite right to me. Also, I am very worried that once I tell them about my problem they will try to take my baby away from me once it is born. I admit that I need help getting off of pills, and I know that I want to quit for me but even more for my baby so that he or she can have a healthy life. Please help with this. Should I chance miscarriage from withdrawal now and go to the doctor clean, or should I continue to do them until the doctor can prescribe me something? And even if I successfully get off of them with the help of my doctor during pregnancy, will they still take my baby away once it is born?

I hink your qualifications are great, but from my experience, the order of a resume is also important because they only spend a few seconds reviewing it so you want the most relveant information for the position you are qpplying to to be on top. Since you have an accounting degree, or tenatative one with a possible CPA, I would put that at the top. You definately want them to see your GPA and the courses you have taken. Your military service is good but I would think it would go under your regular work experience, as it already is. With that emphaszie your responsibility and leadership skills. You protected valuable assets and lead teams, this shows that you can be a good team player and a strong asset to the accounting firm.

Well, i think if you were going to use the latter background story jay, would either have to be a very strong person, or a person that is very good at pretending everything is ok. it depends whether you would want him to be an embattled soul who is deeply scarred by his experiences, but they were beyond his control entirely, or whether he has been mislead and he now wants to prove to himself and possibly others that his past will not shape him. i think the first background story would fit better in a 'sad/overcoming sadness/pleasantly ending story. whereas the other would fit nicely in a darker story/story with darker complications. hope that helps, good luck!

Do Mraps protect well against IEDS?

MRAPS do well in protecting against most IED's. You will probably be fine. You'll prob rarely leave base, so quit worrying. They give us grunts HMMWV licenses, 7ton licenses, and we drive MRAPS, so you prob won't be driving all that much. Our Motor T guys only drove recovery vehicles and crap like that and usually after we ran into an IED if needed. We were the ones hitting the IED's Motor T were the d-bags fixing it after. They stayed on base and grilled streaks on a 55gal drum grill at the end of the day and smoked. You should not word your questions in a way that make you sound like an ignorant tool.

Could I get into the Air Force being prior service in the Army, and having tattoos?

Both my wife and I have considered enlisting in the Air Force. I am more concerned about them accepting me though because I am prior service which I hear they do not like, and I have visible tattoos. I was honorably discharged from the Army about a month ago. I was a horizontal construction engineer in a combat engineer battalion. I was in Iraq for 15 months doing construction missions such as building new bases, and building additions to smaller ones, demolishing building, and filling IED craters with concrete. I played it literally fine for days. I did all the races up to A5 in hawaii, and now it doesn't work. If I start a race, be it A4, A3, A2, A1, B3, C3, they all freeze when I select an individual race inside that championship series. I did all the license tests fine. I can do all the side missions, such as convoys or trailing people, or delivering vehicles. I can do EVERYTHING but actually load into any actual race. Help? (i misscarried our first child and was a high risk pregnancy this time) he left for work and i packed up and flew to tx to my family. he went thru a binge and is now telling me he wants me and his child in his life. hell do anything. and if i cared at all i wouldnt take away his chance at being there when shes born. if i cared at all i would leave my family and go back to him to work through this because after all we are married. for better or for worse, (my family does not like him, they said if i go back i am cut out of their lives forever because they can not watch me and their grandchild go down because of a drug addict) i understand we are married. and i love him with all my heart. and during our 4 years iv provided him with everything he needed to get clean and stay clean. i tried doing what all the books and internet blogs say to do. I dont know why i even married him knowing deep down hed continue to relapse. Eh, she's probably upset with you because she's feeling very overwhelmed from being pregnant. It's tough for anyone to be a spouse to someone in the military, trust me I know firsthand. My son's father couldn't handle me being in the military and my last deployment totally killed our relationship. It's very important that you have someone by your side who understands and actually SUPPORTS your commitment and obligation to your country. You also have to remember though that you are not the only one to be making these decisions. You now have a family, soon to be wife and child so for you to just volunteer without consulting with your partner was very wrong of you. It's one thing to be ordered to deploy and another to VOLUNTEER. You were a bit selfish in that and only thinking of yourself. I know you said it was because of money but there are other ways to make money besides deployments. Also, your tours overseas aren't that long either are they? I know the ours are 1yr I thought the AF was 4-6 months? Unless they changed it..anyways, from now on I'd try and include your fiance in big decisions such as the one you made. ok, a recap because i have been asking questions about this issue in the past. i have an almost 4 year old son. i was never married to the mom and my name is not on his bc. i had visitation and i was ordered to pay child support. i also stopped picking him up when he was about 9 months old. haven't seen him since then. i used to smoke weed and my ex gfs parents did not like me so i just said to hell with it.. i got sick of their shi+. my ex gfs parents have helped her raise my son and now i find out she is in rehab for drug addiction and my son tested positive as well. well in this effed up meeting they said that my son was safe with the grand parents so they wasn't going to move him with me and my family. i live with my parents. cyfd suggested that i pick up where i left off on the orginal court order of picking him up for visitation. me and my mom and dad said that would be great. well the grand parents said absolutely NOT. they told me that they want me to be introduced into the boys life again slowly... i told them thats absolutely NOT GONNA HAPPEN. i am the boys father and i should not have to be INTRODUCED TO HIM. thats a bunch of bull!!! also me and my parents blame the grand parents for my son being exposed to drugs!!! where the hell was she when this was happening. she gave a lame story about how my ex gf got angry at her cause she told her she needed to leave the guy she was with and seek rehab and that caused my ex to take my son and not let her have access to him. she should have called cyfd!!! also the grand mother brought up that she reached out to me last january for my help!! she did and eventually i did call the cyfd in may. well when i confronted her about this issue this ***** says, where were you? if you would have been exercising your visitation maybe you would have known something was up... what a effing joke!!! i don't want these people raising my son and i think his mother should be stripped of all parental rights ASAP. i mean she should NEVER get to see him or raise him again. today i get served papers that these effing people are filing for guardianship of my son!!! so what if they raised him, fed and clothed him!! they are grand parents that is what grand parents do!! bottom line, they failed to protect my son and should not have custody. this woman has the nerve to say that my son never received a dime of child support. no cards on b-days or christmas... what the eff ever!! you people failed to keep him safe!!! that should out weigh me being MIA as these effing people call it!!! also, statistics say that people on meth 75% of them never recover so it pissed me off when i was told that shes in rehab changing her life. So im having an issue with some friends who really aren't listening to me , Im 23 now and my friends keep asking me if i wanna have kids and have a family. So one of my girl friends said something really really freaking stupid that made no sense to me um she said that kids can change you and i do agree but y on earth would you wanna bring a child into this world if your an addict and also have an eating disorder. Im so fascinated as to why she said this and we basically got into it , now i still have an eating disorder and im open about it , i have had this since i was 9 years old because my grandma used to call me fat and would call me names , so ever since then ive battled this for all these years. I was fine about a year and half ago but of course it'll always come back. I feel like if you have mental disorders and drug addictions and all that why would you wanna bring a kid into an unsafe environment. I know for a fact that i am in no way shape or form fit to be a parent and i don't want any kids there just not for me and i wish people would just understand that. Why is there such pressure to have kids i think people in our world think that having kids makes you feel full filled and to me i don't think that at all , i feel like if your at peace with your life and are full filled with your career then you'll be fine. So i guess i'm just trying to understand why my close friends cant except that i have these problems in my life and even with help i cant seem to fully over come them. I was studying to be a psychologist but I didn't feel that would bring me into contact with the public quick enough. My Daughter is now 11 and has been toting this name around with her the entire time and wants in GONE. I cannot get any help from the courthouse, they just say there are forms, but we cannot tell you what they are or how to get them. I have asked an attorney and they want 400-500 dollars before they will even start which is ridiculous. This should have been done when I was legitimizred. I had to go thru a DNA Test, then legitamation and then still took me 8 months to get her finally home with me. I do not understand the court system nowadays. The whole time I was told it wasnt my child, so the day she was born I called and started the procees of having this all taken care of and within 4-6 weeks It was a fact that she was mine. Now why wasnt that child sent home with her father after it was a fact that she was mine. Instead she was left for 8 more months where me and my family went every monday for 1 hour and got to see her. I had some major surgerys during this and still there was always somebody there to see our child. The courts come to the that I was part of the problem for some reason and then wouldnt award me custody, but they would my parents. I of course allowed that as soon as it was even offered. Nobody on the other side of the family ever visited her while in foster care, or even tried to do anything. She really is a miracle that she made it thru the addiction that the lady that gave birth to her put her thru. Which from my understanding was anywhere from 500 to 1000 milligrams of oxcycontin a day and no telling how many xanax. But she is Healthy and doing great. I found a way to get oxycodone and hydrocodone a friend of mine has chemotherapy and gets 120 count oxycodone and 120 count hydrocodone maybe twice a month, he doesnt use them though he hates pain killers. Okay, so for pretty much as long as I can remember, I've had these bumps on my arms, shoulders, and some on my face. When I was in like the 7th grade, I picked at these bumps a couple times because it was fun to watch the white things come out, and I also felt that feeling you get when you pop a pimple, like oh thank god that one is gone. It started getting irritated so I stopped. It's become somewhat of an addiction and every time I see the bumps I literally can't help myself, like I HAVE to pick it, and sometimes I'll go to my bathroom to do one thing, and end up picking at my arms for like 15 minutes. I know how you feel buddy. The thing is, people these days don't really talk about anything interesting, that's what I had to realize to stop being socially awkward. It's just the same small talk spat out again and again, barely thought out. Just talk to people like that, and once in a while, say something extremely smart and profound. They'll be impressed (they don't have the attention span to listen to the smart stuff all day, but every once in a while is nice). Do it again and again until you have respect AND friends.

Alright heres the situation.im in the Marines and im planing on getting married when i come back from this deployment in afghanistan sometime around september. im only out here for 7 months and im a P.O.G. so im not a grunt. but my fiancee no matter how hard i try to explain to her that i just have a suport role cuz i work at the military post office and just go on convoys to small bases to other Marines to deliever there mail and if they have boxes to mail off to families or freinds i put stamps on there stuff and take it back with me to be mailed to the states. well my fiancee was doing fine with this but still worried about me. then five days ago i guess from what she tells me is that she read on facebook that one of her freinds husbands died out here. and then i guess thats where the problems started because she thought of me. she has severe insomnia like she cant sleep at all. only about a hour at the most and the rest just laying there thinking about random stuff. this has been going on for about 5 days now. shes already kind of dizzy and from lack of sleep. i tell her im safe and fine and i guess thats not enough. shes going to see a doctor either tomorrow or the next day but i was thinking maybe if she talked to other military wives or wives that went through the same ordeal or something simular maybe she can learn of something to deal with it better idk. im worried and i love the **** out of her but theres not really much i can do over here besides praying and hoping for the best. so maybe you guys got advice she can try to help ease her mind,or something that you did that help you sleep. maybe a website that she can go on and talk to other women with the same problems and try to cope with it.

My boyfriend makes me feel inferior?

I've been dating him for 6 years on and off. we love each other but lately I've come to terms with the fact that its just not working out. I'd appreciate feedback as far as my decision goes. He talks big about his future even though he is lacking now in the present. he works a minimum wage job and spends most of his time sleeping if not at work or planning something with me. I feel like we both bring out the worst in each other, I don't know if its anything that can be fixed and clearly we have been trying for so long is it worth continuing? I have some serious problems with the way he treats me and the way he treats our relationship and himself. He has abused drugs in the past, he has a past of not being very honest and he hasn't gained any brown points from my family. He wants to move in together soon and talks about how great it would be but we have never even gone on a trip together without our families present. He has little ambition and grew up getting everything he wanted, I have stayed with him because I am patient and understanding which are qualities most people don't have but is he worth anymore time or am I just kidding myself believing we could have a strong solid future together. How does Iraq compare to Afghanistan?

I just got out of the Army, I was an Engineer, a Construction Equipment Operator with a Combat Engineer BN. I was deployed to Iraq for 15 months doing convoys, and construction projects all over Iraq building bases and addition to small remote FOBs for Americans, Brits, and Iraqis, crater repair, training Iraqi Engineers, and helping the 21Bs with route clearance. I always wondered how different Afghanistan is. I want someone who has been deployed to both countries doing some sort of combat operation, or lots of conoys around both Iraq, and Afghanistan to tell me what's the same, what's diffrent, how different are Iraqis, and Afghans, and which was worse since I never got to see Afghanistan. like i said, he will be 4 in december. i havent seen him since he was 9 months old. i just stopped showing up for visitation. i got sick of the dirty looks from the parents because i used to smoke weed. i already owe income support 20k in child support because my ex turned me in. my ex gf is rehab for meth addiction. i think her parental rights should be taken away. her parents have helped raise the child and now the cyfd placed him with them because they feel that he is safe with them. really? where were they when all the drug use was going on? they claim that she would get angry at them for nagging her to get help and that she would take him and not bring him around. i got served with papers today that they want guardianship of my son, saying that myself and my ex gf are derilects. yeah, i do owe 20k in child support and yes i stopped going around. my parents want me to get custody. how much is this going to cost us? how likely is it that the court will give these people custody of my son? if they do get custody. will i have to pay them child support? i just lost my job and have another as a cook. i do not make a lot of money. i thought parents have more rights than grand parents. wtf? also i want the first court ordered visitation to be reinstated where me and my family can pick him up but the grand parents want me to have supervised at first and go through some parenting classes. i'm not the one that failed to protect him they are! they have a ball bruising lawyer.
