What is 'Profiles' on Android?

I just updated my Motorola Bravo, and there are tons of new features! Most of them are pretty self explanatory, but one of them is called Profiles, and you can like change your Home screens. There are 3: Home, Business, Weekend. what is this supposed to be used for? Thx.
