What was the first person shooter called?

what I remember, Multiplayer, first person shooter set in the desert, one mission involves stopping a convoy working it's way through the valleys, you run over the dunes and shoot out the lead car stopping the rest of the convoy, I think it was a delta force game as I don't remember any others where the vehicles actually move during the game, but my TFD disk wont load. I've also played lots of tom clancy FPSs so it could be one of them
